The ribbed texture feels incredible underfoot, and the Turkish cotton is noticeably thicker and more absorbent than my old mat. It dries quickly too, which is a huge plus in a humid bathroom.
Finally a bath mat that doesn't slide around on my tile floor, and the oak color hides water spots surprisingly well. The ribbed texture gives it a nice grip underfoot and it's still soft after a few washes.
