The low-VOC stain smells barely there, which is a relief since I ended up holding it to my nose out of pure curiosity. The grain detail on the Bluff finish is surprisingly crisp for a sample piece, and it matches my bedroom trim almost exactly.
Held the swatch up against my headboard and the grain detail is what sold me—this little sample shows exactly how the stain will look in my room. It's lightweight and easy to move around, so I could test it in different lighting without any hassle. Now I'm confident ordering the full piece.
The swatch arrived quickly, and the finish is richer in person than on my screen—you can really see the artisan quality in the wood grain. I love that the stains are low-VOC, which makes me feel better about having it in the bedroom while I decide.
