I've washed this sheet four times now and it still has that cool, crisp feel against my skin — nothing like the mushy sateen I used to own. The fitted corners actually stay put on my thick mattress, which never happened with my old set. Genuinely the best sleep upgrade I've made in years.
The percale weave has that crisp, structured feel I was after, not slippery or silky at all. I've washed it three times and it's softened a bit but still holds that button-down sheet quality. Fits my deep mattress snugly with no corner popping.
I run hot at night and this cooling weave actually made a difference — no more kicking the covers off at 2am. The oak color reads more like a soft warm tan in person, which I prefer. It's a bit stiff right out of the package but softened up after the first wash.
